After months of consultation with all categories of flyers the design process began. Precision timepieces went to the drawing boards, to prototype testing and finally into production. The Official Luminox Website

The Luminox logo is a shield icon incorporating the colors black, white and red. Luminox, meaning "light night" in Latin. It was selected to emphasize the superlative illumination system utilized in their watch collection. Early on, Luminox spent 9 months developing the initial Navy SEAL dive watch that could be used on their night missions. It was launched in 1994. It was very popular and since then, Luminox has developed luminating SEAL time pieces in steel and titanium. They offer 10 year lithium batteries and sapphire glass crystals with anti-reflective coatings. Luminox now creates watches for the Air Force as well as the Navy SEALS.
